Disqualified driver caught drinking bottle of beer and using phone had no tax, insurance or NCT

Other than not wearing a seatbelt, there’s not many more offences left.

GARDAÍ HAVE SAID they have arrested one person after pulling over a driver who they said was drinking a bottle of beer while driving and using their phone.

Officers said that when they pulled over the driver and then discovered the car had no tax, insurance or NCT.

The driver was then arrested.

Gardaí have been busy on the roads in recent days and a heavy presence is expected for the upcoming June bank holiday weekend which is a time when there are usually a lot of road traffic collisions.
